The Model 1204 provides OutDAQ Field Data Terminals (FDTs) with multi-channel status input monitoring, logging and alarming capability through appropriate client software. There are 5 channels available, designed for sensing contact closures (wetted or dry contacts) without external excitation.
Typical applications for the 1204 STAT Module include the following:

• Monitoring equipment condition or operating
• states
• Monitoring physical security sensing devices

 
The 1204 indicates open contacts as a 0 (zero), and closed contacts as a 1 (one).
