Position: Sales Manager

We are looking for a working Sales Manager, to both contribute to increasing sales, and to coordinate the activities of the small sales team. SMARTEC currently sells into the geotechnical, civil, and petrochemical markets both direct and through distributors.
The successful candidate would have experience selling technology in one or more of these markets. Their activities would include:
- Maintain and grow an opportunity pipeline to ensure SMARTEC’s future business growth
- Secure key customer orders to ensure revenue targets are met or exceeded
- Establish business partner relationships as required to increases SMARTEC’s global sales
- Coordinate the activities of the SMARTEC sales team to achieve SMARTEC’s goals
- Propose and implement SMARTEC sales strategy
- Ensure the growth and effectiveness of SMARTEC’s distributor network
- Identify, propose, and grow business in new sectors
- Regular reporting to the SMARTEC GM of sales performance metrics
The candidate will have the following experience, skills and knowledge:
- A substantial track record of success selling complex technology solutions
- Ability to present complex technologies with minimal technical support
- Knowledge of fibre optic technologies is desirable
- Must be willing to travel and communicate with customers around the world
- Educated to degree level
- Have a minimum of business level English. Additional languages will be beneficial.
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
