Courte description:
The thermoplastic composite coiled-tubing consists of liner wrapped with structural carbon fibre reinforced thermocomposite tapes and protection glass fibres reinforced layers. It consist typically of several modules assembled in several kilometers long tubing with a diameter smaller than 80 mm. The fibre optic sensors are to be embedded between the structural layers of the tubing.
Objectifs de contrôle:
R&D of intelligent and high-temperature, corrosion & fatigue resistant thermoplastic composite coiled tubing for the efficient and cost-effective exploration of hydrocarbons. Embedded electrical power conductors for a remote controlled electric drilling motor. Fibre optic sensing system to monitor the well, operation and structural integrity of the coil. Virtual insensitive to fatigue. Research on chemical ageing. Modify existing CT software and integration of control software. Concept prototype field-testing. Applications: drilling, workovers and intelligent well completions. Substantial cost savings, compact and low-noise equipment, major reduction of rock cuttings & power exhaust. Extended horizontal reach due to lightweight coil. Less rigs, smaller rigs, rig-less. Preservation of protected and inhabited areas. Increased reliability & safety. Improved working conditions. 100% recycling possible. Multiple Spin-offs. The particular aim of SMARTEC is to develop full system able to monitor strain, bending, torsion and temperature along the tubing based on use of the DiTeSt.
